Referrals

 

The Shasta County Youth/Peer Court receives referrals from the Shasta County Juvenile Probation Office and middle and high schools from throughout Shasta County, for violations of laws or school-related offenses.

 Referrals are generally first-time offenders,  who wish to admit their guilt and have their cases heard in the Youth/Peer Court.  Referrals come from city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers through the Probation Office.   Referrals can also come from School Resource Officers or School Administrators.   SRO's and School Administrators can download referral forms from this site.

The Youth Violence Prevention Council is located at 1700 Pine St., Suite 250 in Redding, CA 96001. The Office is located on the 2nd floor,
above the U.S. Bank, which is on the corner of Pine and Placer Streets.
